A NEW CHAPTER IN ARTIST-LED EDUCATION

Skin Deep Education is an artist-led education platform that sits under JILO which was founded by Joshua Obichere and Lilo Amaral, bringing together professional art practice and education to help young people and emerging artists develop their skills, confidence and creative voice.

Founded from Joshua’s experience as a qualified Art & Design teacher and practising artist, Skin Deep Education offers online art tuition, creative mentoring and portfolio development, with a particular focus on GCSE, A Level and university applications which all sit under JILO.

 

With an MEd in Education from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, UAL, Joshua brings both educational expertise and contemporary art practice into his teaching. His approach is centred on experimentation, curiosity and creative confidence. Rather than striving for perfection, students are encouraged to try, take risks, explore techniques and develop ideas in their own way. Learn the skills. Explore your ideas.
